Terms and Conditions of Juguemos en Español
Mission
The mission of Juguemos en Español is to create curiosity in children through the gift of language! By providing a safe and fun environment, children and parents learn words, phrases, and songs as they bond in learning Spanish. The collection of these will allow them to feel comfortable in engaging in this language.
Terms of Participation
Participants will be on live video conference that may be recorded for viewing by participants who were unable to attend the session, for training purposes, and for internet use including social media networking and marketing (please see Permission to Photograph, Video and Audiotape below). Please read through the following guidelines so we can maintain a safe experience for all participants and you are aware of the policies.
I will send you a link to join the Zoom meeting. Please download the application to your device to ensure you are able to access it for our sessions. When you log in, please input your child/children’s name(s).
The sessions will be live and interactive. Though we will be having fun while we learn, please make sure your child/children are in a quiet place to avoid distractions for all participants. Please remember that everything within the camera viewing area is visible to the facilitator and participants. Please be aware that there may be online media that contain references, ads, or links to materials from third parties. Juguemos en Español is not associated with those third parties.
Sounds and voices can be captured by your device’s microphone and heard by others in the Zoom session. The facilitator will mute participants for portions of the session to provide direction, during songs, and while books are being read. Participants will be unmuted to facilitate discussion.
These sessions have been designed for active parent participation. Please ensure an adult is in the session with your child/children to maximize their experience as some portions may include phrase repetition and practice with one another.
A short agenda will be sent as a guide before each module for parents/guardians to follow through every session. There will also be other handouts which will be distributed before or after sessions (depending on the sequence of the program offerings) for continued practice at home and are completely optional to use, but highly encouraged.
The program is designed to create curiosity of the Spanish language as they engage in their surroundings, interact with people, but most importantly to have fun. This program does no replace standard school curriculum and provides no credit for institution.
Due to the duration of the modules and sessions, participants are not expected to become fluent.
A space for your family will be held for your desired session once payment has been received.
Payment is based on registration, not attendance. If participants miss a session(s), there will be no make ups and refunds will not be given, but may receive a recording, if available. If facilitator has to re-schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, she will work to re-schedule the session at a later date to the best of her ability.
Permission to Photograph, Video and Audiotape
Occasionally, Juguemos en Español’s program activities may be photographed, videotaped, or audio taped for educational, publicity or fundraising purposes. Please indicate if you give permission for you and your child(ren) to appear in videos, photos or audio recordings without compensation (e.g., as part of brochures, slide shows, social media or program websites).
